These images were made with version 8.44 of
Terragen. You can also download the files used for these images (whatever survived my absentmindedness and a crash).
The page is likely to take some time to load; there are a lot of graphics.
Clicking on the image previews will take you to an 800 X 600 image. If you want some other size for wallpaper, check on my Terragen wallpapers pages.

This is Valles Marineris of Mars. I have tried to use the actual colors of Mars, but I believe the height scale is exaggerated for a more dramatic look.
-------------------------- The world file is in the vallesmarineris.zip (2 kb). The terrain is 2049 X 2049 (8 Mb), not suitable for posting here - it is still available. If you want it, please send me an email. You must be registered to use it. -------------------------- |
Ruins? A self-made terrain - with
Wilbur.
-------------------------- The terrain (513X513) and world files are in the wb_c.zip (389 kb). -------------------------- |

A muddy, rather septic looking, lake.
-------------------------- The terrain (made with Worldmachine ) was too large to post here, but the world, as well as the worldmachine file is in the mud1.zip (2.17 kb). -------------------------- |
Extreme rays. The terrain is from the Cascades (USA).
-------------------------- The world file is in the cascades.zip (1.64 kb). The terrain is 1025 X 1025 (2 Mb), not suitable for posting here. I might still have it on some CD. -------------------------- |

Blue Water. Simple use of
waterworks
plugins.
-------------------------- The terrain (513X513) and world file are in the blue.zip (506 kb). -------------------------- |
A swimming pool. It was actually my first image with transparent water (and faked caustics).
-------------------------- The terrain and image overlay for the bottom of the pool "caustics" (in PNG format) - also the world file - are in the pool.zip (269 kb). You will need to open the PNGs in a paint program and save as BMPs before importing into Terragen. Then, if you are not registered, you must resize the terrain to 513X513 (the camera view in the world file is for a 513X513 terrain). I have not included the masks used for the surface maps and image overlays, but they should be simple to make in a paint program. You will need 2 masks: one for the whole pool and one for the pool bottom, to use the included image overlay. You must not resize the masks, even if you resized the terrain. -------------------------- |
