The "what's new" page was started on 2 January 2000. This is the archive from January 2000 to July 2003.

July 2003

• 12 to 29 July 2003 The most difficult thing was to update the "what's new" page:-). Apart from more fixed errors, I have moved back to the main site my Corel and GIMP files. I hope my bandwidth can handle them. A new page has been added with my printable designs (posters, postcards, shirts) from Zazzle.com.

June 2003

• 19 June 2003 A new set of 4 pages with full screen wallpaper natural textures.

• 5 June 2003 Still fixing and updating. The weather is good, so it is photography time with some new tiles on stones, flowers, papers and a new bush tile.

May 2003

• 30 May 2003 Most of the links (90 %) are working and updated. I hope to fix the rest soon. Also, the Terragen tips page is updated.
• 13 May 2003 At last I have fixed the HTML and most of the links. Also, the feedback page is working. No counter I have tried seems to work; I will probably have to abandon the idea of one. Any hints on errors, broken links etc, would be appreciated :-)
• 5 May 2003 New site at a new address (once the DNS is settled). The url of my site is http://www.helensimages.com/. It will take some time to put the site in shape.
  I have finally my own site:-)
  Unfortunately, the servers, where my site was before, had a multitude of problems the last few months, being on and off line and killing my email as well. I am sorry for that.

February 2003

• 6 February 2003 There is a serious problem with the site's servers and my site has been intermitently available, but my email is dead, so I have not received anybody's messages since January 24. Hope the problem will be fixed soon. I have just been able to upload the changed pages.

December 2002

• 11 December 2002 A free font and a 3d wallpaper have been added. Also, a new midi page.
• 6 December 2002 I have uploaded my designs for t-shirts and posters to zazzle.com.
  Also, updated the image resources links and the Email safety pages.

October 2002

• 30 October 2002 Most nature pages updated with new images:
  • woods
  • outdoors - sky
  • animals
  • fabrics
  • leaves
  • water and ice
  All the "wild" pages are also updated and the paintings.
• 23 October 2002 Major updates in progress. If you see anything broken, please let me know.
  There is a new page with bullets, a new page with landscape wallpapers (6 of them) and the relevant Terragen files page, a new page on Email safety and a new feedback page, based on javascript, for those who had problems with the CGI feedback page. 2 new 3D wallpapers.
  There is a lot of information and links that are getting outdated. I am working on them. After that is done, I might do some improvements on the site design and navigation.

June 2002

• 27 June 2002 I am back fully online, after a long time with connection and other problems. The site will be regularly updated again.
  Thank you for your support all this time :-)

November 2001

• 22 November 2001 Updated the graphic of my main pages to one of a pomegranate (there are many around here :-)

October 2001

• 16 October 2001 One more long time without a web update! I have moved and have been offline for long periods. Hopefully settled down now, I hope.
  My nbci pages have moved to hol.gr. I hope this one will not be a temporary host.
  There are so many new programs that will change the links on a site, in the much publicized "smart tags" style (better mention no names), that I had to change the color style of my links, to avoid getting them confused with those inserted by these programs. These third party links, in green or yellow, would only lead you to advertisements.
  Updated the FAQ and the users pages.

July 2001

• 10 July 2001 A long time without a web update - so sorry! Many personal, hardware and software problems have contributed to this.
  The nbci pages are closing on July 15, am searching for a new host with enough space for them.
  Some new buttons for web pages. 2 new web page sets, one with flash.
  Updated the FAQ and the users pages.

May 2001

• 3 - 5 May 2001 Many changes and a checking of all the HTML. A new page with left borders, one more wild page and new images in other pages (2 new painting wallpapers and a landscape one) also a page with some personal information. For Terragen users, there is a new page with information about elevation data for Europe.

April 2001

• 15 April 2001 A new car set and template. Also, 9 new links for free 3D software in my software page. Take them while they last (Blender and Amapi free editions might be discontinued, they say). Some Terragen icons. And a new fractal border.

March 2001

• 31 March 2001 An update in the HTML code, appearance and links of all pages. Check the screensaver links in my image links page. Some new animations in my NBCI page. New images to be uploaded soon to this site as well.

February 2001

• 16 February 2001 A new white and blue web set with images, an image map, Flash and HTML template.
• 10 February 2001 Some pages have moved to my NBCI pages, to be able to add more content, without regard for space, and to have more space in this site for more content. These are:
  • The calendar page
  • The free files for Corel and GIMP.
  Also, a new tutorial for making animations with GIMP has been added there.
• 3 February 2001 A new page with Terragen - landscape wallpapers ; also a major update to the Terragen Gallery and files page. Two new images in Painted wallpapers. Some new images in 200 X 200 2, 200 X 200 3 and fabrics. Finally, some displacement patterns were added in my GIMP page. Web space is beginning to run short...
• 1 February 2001 I have made 2 flash site menus. Also I offer, for a short time, to have a flash site menu made for you - free.

January 2001

• 24 January 2001 For some this is a new millenium (may it be a happy one). For these pages, a new calendar for February (and a new 2001 graphic, but that was obvious in my home page). More under preparation.

December 2000

• 16 December 2000 So many new images the last time and the HTML needed a lot of tidying up.
  A new calendar for January and my FAQ page was finished at last. Also, some images for mobile phones.
  
• 7 December 2000 I bought a new computer and this delayed updating the site. In the meanwhile, there were a lot of new images (36 to be exact) waiting to be uploaded.
  So, I finally managed to dip myself into HTML and prepare the pages.
  New images in page 5 of wallpapers (a new Christmas wallpaper), 200 X 200 2 (quite a lot), 200 X 200 3, 200 X 200 4, fabrics, wood, humans, outdoors and sky, animals, water, food, web tiles 4, metal borders, wood borders and various borders (marbles).

November 2000

• 14 November 2000 Two more sets added and an update to my user's page.
• 11 November 2000 A new animal track tile and a calendar for December (for printing). Have moved the fractal wallpapers (and added some more) to my NBCI page.
• 7 November 2000 4 new displacement maps for Corel Photopaint with water - like results.
• 5 November 2000 A lot of new GIMP brushes at nbci.com. A new set, a tartan fabric tile and a new spray list for Corel Draw.

October 2000

• 31 October 2000 I have a second site at nbci.com. Only one file so far: An image spraying brush for GIMP. I plan to add other free files and wallpapers. Have updated my utilities page and the free software page.
• 5 October 2000 A new page with image sets for web pages. Only one set so far.
• 2 October 2000 A new page with button graphics for web pages.

September 2000

• 29 September 2000 No updates for some time, but now I am back in full force! :-) The HTML tutorial pages are at last presentable enough to go on the Web. Also a major update in my software reviews page. Links checked and updated in Graphic links and users pages. Also added a Site Map.

August 2000

• 6 August 2000 Back from vacations. Some new fractal wallpapers in both pages. I seem to have collected an awful lot of images, especially wallpapers and scanned textures, must start looking for a second host soon to put them online.

July 2000

• 7 July 2000 Have been in a fractal mania. Making more fractals than the space in my ISP; the HD is getting crowded. A choice of the smaller ones in a fractal borders page. Changed the home page graphic to a watermelon one, because the previous was too big. Various updates: software reviews, users etc. So many people write to me telling me of a page they prepare, but no page appears. I am thinking of starting a page about HTML for beginners.

June 2000

• 12 June 2000 Long absence due to illness. An organizing overhaul. New fractal full screen wallpapers in 2 pages and free files for graphics programs. Various updates here and there.

May 2000

• 16 - 17 May 2000 New wood borders and another border page with straw baskets, daisies and blue drops. Also updated the graphic links and the users page.
• 1 May 2000 New images (tiles) in the categories of: 100 X 100, 200 X 200 mild, 100 X 100 mild and fabrics. Also a new HTML page on making banners with style sheets

April 2000

• 30 April 2000 Added search for my site; also improved the look of the pages for those with older browsers.
• 23 April 2000 Added some Animated cursors for Windows. Happy Easter! (In Greece Easter comes next Sunday).
• 14 April 2000 I seem to be writing on this page twice a month; there wasn't much free time lately; also my computer has started showing its age and crashes more frequently with new more demanding software. New images (tiles) in the categories of: food, flowers and some walls in 200 X 200. Minor improvements here and there.
• 2 April 2000 Many new images, especially in the wallpaper range. Added 4 new pages of full screen wallpaper, 3 with photos from Greece and one with sunsets. Many of you had written asking for the greek ones. I hope you like them. Also some new tiles (all relevant pages marked as updated in the picture index ).

March 2000

• 25 March 2000 I have left my site in Greece after a year, despite its high traffic, because I was having many problems with space limitations and a server that didn't seem to like me. A lot of small improvements (counter fixed, errors corrected, many minor improvements to navigation) and a new landscape (Terragen) wallpaper.
• 4 March 2000 Small update: A small change of look, some new tiles and a Terragen wallpaper (all relevant pages marked as updated in the picture index ).

February 2000

• 26 February 2000 Long due update (after some family illness): have changed some images on many pages in the wallpaper tile category (they are marked as updated in the picture index ) - I liked best those of 25 X 25 pixels. Also made some new pages of full screen wallpaper images, all with Terragen; some of them include the Terragen files used to make them - and a painted wallpaper.
• 1 February 2000 I have added some new pages for St Valentine's day: one with tiles and one with borders. Have also added some new wallpaper images on page 2 and page 3 and tidied up their classification. Also done a - long due - update of the favorites pages.

January 2000

• 22 January 2000 Have been very busy lately. Have not stopped making images, but whenever I thought of writing the HTML, I was too tired.
  I have added some new pages: one with wallpaper (only one image at present) and four pages of nature images.
• 2 January 2000 A happy New millenium! (and year) I think I have discovered the (only?) Y2K bug: it's in my javascript. The year was shown as: 200, 20100, 0 and various other combinations. So I resorted to the simplest date form (the one that shows the hour and the mm/dd/yy format), that many of my visitors objected to. Even at that, IE is 2 hours slow (connected to Greenwich?).
  Anyway: I have been more active in fighting with the aforementioned "bug", trying new software and making images, than updating my pages.
  I have added some new pages: two with "wild" or loud images that had been waiting in my hard drive (you may love them or hate them), one with software I have tried and liked (or not). Also changed or added some images in various pages (they are mentioned as "updated" in the picture index ). I have also started exploring 3d software - my most successfull attempts are included in the full screen wallpaper pages, speaking of which, they are at last in 3 sizes (640 X480, 800 X 600 and 1024 X 768).
